I hope everyone had a safe and fun weekend! My guys and I attended ChiiSai Con 2023 at the Colleton County Memorial Library on Saturday for the second in this popular one-day convention at the Library. We had a lot of fun with our fellow artists and I want to give a big thank you to all the fans who came out to support local art and the community!

Hello, Cozy Gang!

What a week! Thank you for coming by as I worked on the March *Catfinated* sticker designs and last week’s fan vote winner, Princess Peach! I always love drawing Mario characters, and Peach is one of my favorites.

This weekend, after a hefty rain shower on Saturday that was perfect for cuddling up and snoozing some, my family and I set forth to a local cat café that opened up this year, Mews and Brews Café! I got to hang out with some very distinguished gentlemen named Hickory, Napoleon, and Kyle, and a super friendly young (and already adopted! yay!) lady named Reeses while sipping some hot chocolate. The kitties were so cute and Little Dude had a blast playing with them with a laser pointer. We thought Napoleon (a tuxedo cat) was going to sneak up and jump on him by an open window, but Napoleon instead opted to do his best MJ impression and take to the skies jumping from a couch back to a six foot tall book case! I can’t wait to go back and hang with more kitties 🙂

We at the House of Cozy had a hard one this weekend as we said goodbye to our furry queen Carbuncle. We will always miss our Grumpy kitty and remember her always in our hearts. We spent the rest of the week having lots of fun, watching movies, playing games, and generally remembering all the wonderful things about Buncy that enriched our family.

This week’s stream schedule should prove to be a fun one, as I start on some new My Hero Academia Fan Art for Monday, dive back into the Resonance Cascade’s aftereffects in Black Mesa on Tuesday, and work on the Fan Vote Winner for Thursday! There’s still time to nominate a fan vote item so be sure to redeem those channel points to nominate!

HELLO, COZY GANG!

It’s so hard to believe we’re already in the last week of February! Has your year been good to you? This past weekend I attended my first show of the year, Captain’s Comic Expo, and it was great stepping back into convention life after months gone from it. Mike and the gang at Captain’s Comics, all the wonderful guests and artists at the show, and all the fans local and from around the world who come to visit always bring such great energy to the Charleston area when it’s Expo time and this year was no different. I always look forward to seeing all my friends and all the fans of everything comics, anime, and pop culture come by the table!

Because the weekend was so hectic, I am taking a small day of rest on Monday and doing a chill gaming stream with Words on Stream – come by and join in the fun! I’ll be back up to full strength on Tuesday exploring the mysteries of the Black Mesa Research Lab though, so here’s this week’s schedule!

So I started a Ko-fi and a sticker club!

Hey, Cozy Gang! I wanted to let you know that I have started a Ko-fi page like many creators out there. I feel like it is a great platform for creators to share their work and for those who wish to support them. It is a little empty right now but I will be using this page to help you help me create more art and comics!

What is Ko-fi?

Ko-fi is a website that allows people to find creators and help them out by “buying a coffee” aka donating some money. You can do this as a one-time donation or subscribe for monthly perks. Content creators can provide public posts about their work and/or provide some private perks that contributors can see. Some creators even use the website to host their online shops for digital and physical products.

How am I going to use it?

Great question! I am trying to figure that out but for now, I have a few supporter-only posts available already. I will be adding more behind-the-scenes content, commission slots, and previews for future merch and comics. In addition, I have started a Ko-fi sticker club!

Did you say “Ko-fi Sticker Club?!”

Yes, I did! Two new stickers will come out monthly along with a handwritten thank you note from me. You can help me out with at least $5 a month and you get these goodies in the mail!

If you sign up anytime during December, you will qualify for these cuties in the mail! If you ever decide that you do not want the month’s stickers, you can cancel your sub for that month.

How will this help you create more comics/art?

I may be a working artist and I appreciate all of you who help me keep creating by sharing my work and buying my merch and comics through my online store and at conventions, but I’m also a working artist. Paying collaborators, web hosting, new merch, and convention fees rack up, and keeping that going can be difficult. This is just another way that gets my creations to you and you get to help me keep crafting new projects. You get behind-the-scenes looks at my works, new stickers, and help me keep going.
